The focus of the Middle School athletics program in grades fifth and sixth is for students to gain exposure to various sports and skill development. This objective continues into seventh and eighth grades, and progresses towards a balance between participation and competition. Coaches and athletes work together to create an inclusive, competitive team environment, while thoroughly preparing for the transition to high school athletics.
Dawson Athletics offers a no-cut policy that allows the student the right to participate and learn. However, selection for teams or representative roles are based on demonstrated ability and commitment.
