Mrs. Jostol grew up in Houston and overseas in Indonesia. She received a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Redlands and a Master in Education from Boston College. While the majority of her career has been spent in secondary mathematics education, she has loved working with elementary-aged students and being able to share her deep love of reading. This is Mrs. Jostol's 11th year of teaching and first year at Dawson. In her spare time, she enjoys reading too many books at the same time, studying Italian, doing yoga, playing piano, and spending time with her husband and two dogs.

The Alexander Dawson School

The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain, an independent school located on 33-acres in the community of Summerlin, is Nevada’s first Stanford University Challenge Success partner school for students in early childhood through grade eight. Utilizing the unique Challenge Success framework, Dawson uses research-based strategies and programs that emphasize student academics, wellbeing, and a healthy school-life balance to create more engaged, motivated, and resilient learners and leaders.
