Share one of your favorite Dawson memories:
I made many fond Dawson memories playing on the sports teams and creating bonds with my teammates that I still am connected with today. Specifically, in eighth grade the basketball team was very close-knit, oftentimes hanging out after practice. It was these moments that helped me realize the sense of family we have at Dawson.

What skills and competencies did you learn at Dawson that you continue to use today?
Dawson breeds an environment of pointiness. Pointiness is the characteristic of being well-rounded yet sharp at the same time. Not only did the academics push me to become a better student, but the extracurricular activities allowed me to explore avenues that would help me become well-rounded. The emphasis on communication at Dawson is top-tier; I’ve been able to make connections solely through the focused communication skills that I built during my time at Dawson.

How did Dawson prepare you for high school, college, and beyond?
Dawson taught me to speak up for myself and put myself out there. The teachers at Dawson encouraged me to meet with them outside of class which helped me overcome any fear and hesitation I had when meeting with a teacher, administrator, or coordinator.

Can you share 1-2 academic or professional highlights that you’re proud of?
I graduated as the Valedictorian of the class of 2022 at the Adelson Educational Campus and was awarded a Scholastic Arts and Writing National Gold Medal.

Why did you decide to be part of the Dawson Alumni Council? Dawson provided an environment in which I was able to become the person and student I am today, so when presented with the opportunity to give back I happily accepted.
Any advice for current Dawson students?Take all the wonderful opportunities that you are offered at Dawson, you never know where one might lead you.
