Share one of your favorite Dawson memories.
Performing in the Musical Theatre and Advanced Choir electives, and the many friendships created and still lasting to this day.

Who were the Dawson teachers that impacted your education/life the most?
Ms. Block, Mrs. Wright, Mrs. Shim, Mrs. Finfrock, and Ms. Freeman.

What skills and competencies did you learn at Dawson that you continue to use today?
I think a lot about how Dawson was the place where I learned what I wanted to do for a living. This place was the springboard that helped me harness my goal of becoming a full-time actor.

How did Dawson prepare you for high school, college, and beyond?
The school helped me realize that there is a talent within myself in which I can be confident. If it weren't for the education Dawson gave me, I wouldn't have strived for my best and, thankfully, gotten into the best schools for my field.

Can you share 1-2 academic or professional highlights that you’re proud of?
Academically, I was a Dean's List Honoree when I graduated from NYU Tisch in 2018. I have been a part of many development workshops and world premieres of original musicals in NYC and achieved my Actors' Equity card in December 2021.

Why did you decide to be part of the Dawson Alumni Council?
To be a beacon of representation for not only the people of color that exist on campus, but to represent the arts as an avenue for students to explore and pursue as a potential career.

Any advice for current Dawson students?
To choose to be kind, to actively listen to your peers, and to make sure that when you wake up in the morning, you enjoy the person you see in the mirror.
