Lyndell is originally from Louisiana, home of the National Champion LSU Tigers!! He attended Louisiana College, as well as Louisiana State University (for the summers), where he obtained a degree in education. Lyndell has been in the field of math education for 28 years. He has taught in Louisiana, Portland, Oregon, Nevada (Las Vegas and Reno), and Detroit, Michigan. Lyndell loves math and anything that requires working with numbers. He also loves sports! Lyndell comes from a family of educators and is married to an educator, too. Lyndell believes in building relationships with all of his students, and says that all are welcome into his classroom at any time.

The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain, an independent school located on 33-acres in the community of Summerlin, is Nevada’s first Stanford University Challenge Success partner school for students in early childhood through grade eight.
