David has worked at Dawson since 2002. He grew up in Southern California on an egg ranch and citrus farm. In high school, he discovered a passion for photography and later found a love for teaching. David received a B.A. in studio art with an emphasis in photography from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego. After college, David taught photography, science, and experiential education in Idyllwild, CA. He is an outdoor enthusiast with a love for the mountains, travel, and authentic cultural food experiences.

The Alexander Dawson School

The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain, an independent school located on 33-acres in the community of Summerlin, is Nevada’s first Stanford University Challenge Success partner school for students in early childhood through grade eight. Utilizing the unique Challenge Success framework, Dawson uses research-based strategies and programs that emphasize student academics, wellbeing, and a healthy school-life balance to create more engaged, motivated, and resilient learners and leaders.
