Originally from Florida, Amanda has a background in education and advocacy. She began her career teaching Early Childhood Special Education at The University of Miami’s Debbie Institute before transitioning to a role as a child advocate for Child Protective Services in St. Petersburg. Amanda's journey led her to Las Vegas, where she spent nine years teaching at The Alexander Dawson School before stepping into an administrative role in 2017. Her dedication to education extends beyond her professional life, as she is also a proud parent within the Dawson community. Amanda values time with her family, seeking new adventures, and exploring different destinations together.

The Alexander Dawson School

The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain, an independent school located on 33-acres in the community of Summerlin, is Nevada’s first Stanford University Challenge Success partner school for students in early childhood through grade eight.
