Linda is a veteran teacher who has taught grades three through five, ESL and learning disabilities in six different states. Linda begins her 23rd year at Dawson. She is excited to share her love of math and the joy of reading great books with her students. In 2013, she was honored to be named Nevada History Teacher of the Year. She was instrumental in developing the program "Scenes from Shakespeare" and spearheaded the fifth-grade Dawson project to recycle and keep over 15,000 unwanted cell phones out of landfills. Linda enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband, two children, and her three beautiful granddaughters.

The Alexander Dawson School

The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain, an independent school located on 33-acres in the community of Summerlin, is Nevada’s first Stanford University Challenge Success partner school for students in early childhood through grade eight. Utilizing the unique Challenge Success framework, Dawson uses research-based strategies and programs that emphasize student academics, wellbeing, and a healthy school-life balance to create more engaged, motivated, and resilient learners and leaders. At Dawson, students achieve their individual potential while savoring life and meeting the challenges of the world.
