Carol grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She moved to Las Vegas in August 2012 with her husband and two children. Carol has been teaching for over 14 years. She earned her degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education from Hillsdale College. In 2008, she graduated from Oakland  University with a Master's of Education degree in Special Education with certification in Learning Disabilities and Autism. Carol enjoys being active outdoors, music, sporting events, traveling and spending time with her family.

The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain, an independent school located on 33-acres in the community of Summerlin, is Nevada’s first Stanford University Challenge Success partner school for students in early childhood through grade eight.
