Zeyda Medina-Teran
Zeyda Medina-Teran was born in Carson City and has also lived in Arizona. This will be her first year at Dawson and she is excited to be a part of the community. Previously, Zeyda worked as a home school tutor for two years, gaining knowledge and experience that she is ready to bring into the classroom. She is actively pursuing a career in education. In her downtime, she likes to play Dungeons & Dragons, read books, and create art. Zeyda is a member of the LGBT+ community and has a passion for creating safe spaces and helping people make sure their voices are heard.
The Alexander Dawson School
The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain, an independent school located on 33-acres in the community of Summerlin, is Nevada’s first Stanford University Challenge Success partner school for students in early childhood through grade eight. Utilizing the unique Challenge Success framework, Dawson uses research-based strategies and programs that emphasize student academics, wellbeing, and a healthy school-life balance to create more engaged, motivated, and resilient learners and leaders. At Dawson, students achieve their individual potential while savoring life and meeting the challenges of the world.
