Cydney has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literatures English from the University of California, San Diego, and a Master of Arts degree in teaching from San Diego State University. She has nearly 15 years of teaching experience in the San Diego Unified School district and most recently as part of the Clark County School District. She has taught various grade levels but brings deeper experience with English Language Arts, helping students to become better readers and writers. Cydney enjoys reading, pilates, and spending time with her family.

The Alexander Dawson School

The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain, an independent school located on 33-acres in the community of Summerlin, is Nevada’s first Stanford University Challenge Success partner school for students in early childhood through grade eight. Utilizing the unique Challenge Success framework, Dawson uses research-based strategies and programs that emphasize student academics, wellbeing, and a healthy school-life balance to create more engaged, motivated, and resilient learners and leaders.
