Becky Kinney has over 40 years of experience in early childhood education, and this is her third year at the Alexander Dawson School. She has an Early Childhood Education (ECE) degree and experience teaching in public and private schools, working with children between the ages of preschool and high school. Still, her true passion has continually been educating the youngest learners. Becky and her husband recently relocated to Summerlin after living their entire lives in Seattle, Washington, and love living in Las Vegas! They have one son, Brandon, who still lives and works in Seattle. When she is not at work, Becky enjoys exploring the outdoors, watching sports, reading, traveling, and cheering on the Seattle Seahawks!

The Alexander Dawson School

The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain, an independent school located on 33-acres in the community of Summerlin, is Nevada’s first Stanford University Challenge Success partner school for students in early childhood through grade eight. Utilizing the unique Challenge Success framework, Dawson uses research-based strategies and programs that emphasize student academics, wellbeing, and a healthy school-life balance to create more engaged, motivated, and resilient learners and leaders. At Dawson, students achieve their individual potential while savoring life and meeting the challenges of the world.
