Jessica moved to Las Vegas from San Francisco, California, where she was the head strength and conditioning coach at the Academy of Art University for seven years. Originally from Maine, she earned her degree in health and art education from Plymouth State University in New Hampshire. She is a certified strength and conditioning coach (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association). Before coaching at ArtU, she was a fitness professional working at multiple facilities in the Bay Area as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. Jessica currently teaches sixth-grade advisory, health and fitness, and health education human growth at Dawson, and is the head coach for the track and field team.

The Alexander Dawson School

The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain, an independent school located on 33-acres in the community of Summerlin, is Nevada’s first Stanford University Challenge Success partner school for students in early childhood through grade eight. Utilizing the unique Challenge Success framework, Dawson uses research-based strategies and programs that emphasize student academics, wellbeing, and a healthy school-life balance to create more engaged, motivated, and resilient learners and leaders.
