Originally from Michigan, Beth attended Grand Valley State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology. Passionate about environmental education, she worked for eight years as a Program Director for a non-profit based in Fort Collins, CO. There, she led both teachers and students on more than 50 international expeditions to inspire curious, brave, and proactive global citizens. In 2007, she transitioned into the classroom after earning her Master of Arts in education and elementary teaching license from the University of Phoenix. In 2012, she moved to Seattle to work as a first-grade teacher at an independent school. In 2016, she moved with her spouse to Las Vegas to enjoy blue skies, a warmer climate, and opportunities to be closer to friends. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, camping, swimming, antique shopping and traveling.
