Ms. Moore has almost 20 years of experience teaching grades 3 through 8. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Northern Arizona University, where she studied Elementary Education. In addition, she has a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. When not in the classroom, Ms. Moore enjoys cooking, reading, writing, hiking, golfing and spending time with her family. Ms. Moore’s classroom environment fosters imagination, growth and experimentation. Her students are asked to analyze texts from a variety of genres, then take risks in considering their own position on a multitude of issues. They feel safe exploring the writing process, and proud of their accomplishments. Her passion for social studies is also quite evident as she weaves the disciplines together in a cross-curricular approach.
