Jose Vazquez will begin his eighth year at The Alexander Dawson School!  Jose graduated with his M. Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Technology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. This past summer, Jose led the Dawson Summer Camp as Summer Camp Director.  Previously, Jose taught fourth and fifth grades within CCSD, conducted professional development on Kagan strategies, served as an adjunct instructor at Nevada State College and trained pre-service teachers on the use of Wiki portfolios.  

Jose was born in California and moved to Las Vegas during the summer of 2004. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, researching innovative technology for the classroom, playing tennis, and most importantly, spending time with his two younger brothers.

The Alexander Dawson School

The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain, an independent school located on 33-acres in the community of Summerlin, is Nevada’s first Stanford University Challenge Success partner school for students in early childhood through grade eight. Utilizing the unique Challenge Success framework, Dawson uses research-based strategies and programs that emphasize student academics, wellbeing, and a healthy school-life balance to create more engaged, motivated, and resilient learners and leaders.
