Nancy Myster would be considered a native of Las Vegas having lived in the Las Vegas valley since 1995, though originally from Washington State. She attended Western Washington University for her BA in Psychology. Following this she completed her Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction at UNLV. She has taught in the Clark County School District for 11 years. During that time she has taught both first and fourth grades. Nancy loves sharing the art of learning with her students! She has served on the CASA Foundation board of Las Vegas for the last 10 years helping to advocate and fundraise for the special needs of children in foster care in Las Vegas. She enjoys spending time with her daughter, reading, cooking, traveling, and playing tennis.

The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain, an independent school located on 33-acres in the community of Summerlin, is Nevada’s first Stanford University Challenge Success partner school for students in early childhood through grade eight.
