Kelly McNamara, a founding Dawson faculty member with 31 years of teaching experience, has returned to Dawson after seven years. Kelly has taught in Spain, the Czech Republic, Ecuador, the Netherlands and the United States. She received her BA from University of California, Santa Barbara and her Masters of Arts, Elementary Education from the University of Alabama. In 2003, she was awarded a Fullbright Cultural Exchange Scholarship to Japan where she studied the school systems. Kelly enjoys tennis, traveling and reading with a special fondness for historical fiction. Kelly is excited to return to Dawson after traveling the world. “It’s like coming home, but better,” she said. “I remember the wonderful feeling of Dawson when it first opened, but now I see the academic growth and improvements that have taken place since then. It truly is amazing.”
