Shea Phillips

Marketing & Digital Content Manager
DEI Ambassador

Shea graduated from San Diego State University in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. Previously, she was as an event coordinator at an organic bakery and culinary school in La Jolla. Before joining Dawson, she worked at DISCOVERY Children’s Museum. As the School's social media manager, she’s typically glued to her iPhone and often seen on campus asking students to explain what they’re learning on-camera in less than 30 seconds. When not working, Shea prefers reading or napping on the beach. She is also a food enthusiast obsessed with making brunch, homemade salsa and holiday cookie boxes. Mostly, she loves gathering people at the table and cheering for SDSU basketball, the Las Vegas Aces, and USWNT soccer with her husband.

Utilizing the unique Challenge Success framework, Dawson uses research-based strategies and programs that emphasize student academics, wellbeing, and a healthy school-life balance to create more engaged, motivated, and resilient learners and leaders. At Dawson, students achieve their individual potential while savoring life and meeting the challenges of the world.
