Shea Phillips

Marketing Communications & Events Manager


Shea graduated from San Diego State University in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. After college, she worked as an administrative assistant at SDSU and an event coordinator at an organic bakery and culinary school in La Jolla. Before joining the Dawson team she was a contributing writer for Kama’aina Magazine and worked at DISCOVERY Children’s Museum. When she isn't working, Shea prefers to be at the beach. At home, she loves cooking, baking, entertaining and cheering for SDSU basketball with her husband.

The Alexander Dawson School

The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain, an independent school located on 33-acres in the community of Summerlin, is Nevada’s first Stanford University Challenge Success partner school for students in early childhood through grade eight. Utilizing the unique Challenge Success framework, Dawson uses research-based strategies and programs that emphasize student academics, wellbeing, and a healthy school-life balance to create more engaged, motivated, and resilient learners and leaders.
