Christi Gumm is a native of the Las Vegas area, is married, and has two children. She received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a concentration in Early Childhood at UNLV.  She has been in education for 20 years and started her teaching career with CCSD. She has taught preschool through second grade for many years. When her children were younger she decided to take a break from teaching to be a full-time mom. Her son is a graduate of Dawson and is pursuing a career in Real Estate. Her daughter is also a Dawson graduate and attends Bishop Gorman High School. Before returning to teaching and taking a full-time position at Dawson, Christi worked as a substitute teacher and fulfilled a long-term teaching position in EC and Lower School. Christi enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, traveling, reading, and exercising, and loves being a part of the Dawson team. She is very excited to be a part of the Kindergarten team again this coming school year.

The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain, an independent school located on 33-acres in the community of Summerlin, is Nevada’s first Stanford University Challenge Success partner school for students in early childhood through grade eight.
