Lauren grew up in Southern California. She earned her bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of California, Riverside, and her associate of arts degree in merchandise marketing from the F.I.D.M. She was a buyer/product developer for eight years before moving into education. Lauren studied early childhood education at Saddle Back College and earned an elementary multiple subjects teaching credential from Loyola Marymount University. She has taught for seven years, working in grades K-2. At her previous school, she was a grade-level chair and head of the sunshine committee! In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and staying active.

The Alexander Dawson School

The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain, an independent school located on 33-acres in the community of Summerlin, is Nevada’s first Stanford University Challenge Success partner school for students in early childhood through grade eight. Utilizing the unique Challenge Success framework, Dawson uses research-based strategies and programs that emphasize student academics, wellbeing, and a healthy school-life balance to create more engaged, motivated, and resilient learners and leaders.
