Kathy Martin received her undergraduate degree from Middlebury College and her graduate degree from Marymount University. Kathy is not only new to Dawson but also new to Nevada. Prior to moving to Nevada, Kathy lived in Alexandria, Virginia. All of Kathy's classroom and learning specialist experiences, for the past 20+ years, have been with independent schools in Washington, D.C., and its surrounding areas. Kathy is a proud mom of two sons. During her downtime, Kathy enjoys taking long walks, reading, and traveling.

The Alexander Dawson School

The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain, an independent school located on 33-acres in the community of Summerlin, is Nevada’s first Stanford University Challenge Success partner school for students in early childhood through grade eight. Utilizing the unique Challenge Success framework, Dawson uses research-based strategies and programs that emphasize student academics, wellbeing, and a healthy school-life balance to create more engaged, motivated, and resilient learners and leaders.
