Tara Krametbauer was born in San Diego, California, and moved to Las Vegas in 1992. She met her husband in high school and together, they have two daughters: Emma, who will be in kindergarten at Dawson, and Ivy, who will attend EC also at Dawson. Tara has a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a master's degree in Literacy Curriculum and Instruction from UNLV. She has taught for 15 years, working in grades 1-5. She also worked as a Literacy Instructional coach, in which she trained faculty on best literacy practices for CCSD. She is beginning her third year at Dawson in second grade. In her free time, she loves to read, travel to the beach, and spend time with family.

The Alexander Dawson School

The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain, an independent school located on 33-acres in the community of Summerlin, is Nevada’s first Stanford University Challenge Success partner school for students in early childhood through grade eight. Utilizing the unique Challenge Success framework, Dawson uses research-based strategies and programs that emphasize student academics, wellbeing, and a healthy school-life balance to create more engaged, motivated, and resilient learners and leaders. At Dawson, students achieve their individual potential while savoring life and meeting the challenges of the world.
