Jessica Lopes has a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, as well as her Nevada teaching license. She first joined Dawson in 2020, and her multiple roles at the School have included lead Distance Education teacher, assistant kindergarten teacher, and long-term substitute music teacher. She is excited to again be in the classroom full-time with our kindergarten students as a lead teacher, and she is also a welcome and familiar face to all Dawson students as one of our Middle School cheer team coaches! Jessica spends her free time volunteering in the NICU at Sunrise Hospital and has a love of all things Disney, baking, and board games. Her favorite things to do are watching movies and playing cards.

The Alexander Dawson School

The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain, an independent school located on 33-acres in the community of Summerlin, is Nevada’s first Stanford University Challenge Success partner school for students in early childhood through grade eight. Utilizing the unique Challenge Success framework, Dawson uses research-based strategies and programs that emphasize student academics, wellbeing, and a healthy school-life balance to create more engaged, motivated, and resilient learners and leaders.
