A native of Las Vegas, Emma graduated from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa with a B.A. in International Relations and minors in French and Economics. After graduation, she traveled to Temanggung, Central Java, Indonesia to teach English with the Fulbright Program. After a formative year of teaching, Emma chose to continue her career in education at Dawson with the Distance Education Program. When she isn't at school, Emma can be found with her nose in a book, running, hiking, or spending time with her family.

The Alexander Dawson School

The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain, an independent school located on 33-acres in the community of Summerlin, is Nevada’s first Stanford University Challenge Success partner school for students in early childhood through grade eight. Utilizing the unique Challenge Success framework, Dawson uses research-based strategies and programs that emphasize student academics, wellbeing, and a healthy school-life balance to create more engaged, motivated, and resilient learners and leaders.
