Ivette Garcia-Gonzalez received her bachelor's degree in art from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She focused on developing her painting, drawing, and printmaking skills. She also studied in France through a study abroad program and volunteered in Thailand to teach children English. Ivette has a love for learning and experiencing new things. She speaks three languages, loves art, and is currently continuing her education as a graduate student at San Jose State University. Now, she is studying library and information science to become a children's librarian. 

The Alexander Dawson School

The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain, an independent school located on 33-acres in the community of Summerlin, is Nevada’s first Stanford University Challenge Success partner school for students in early childhood through grade eight. Utilizing the unique Challenge Success framework, Dawson uses research-based strategies and programs that emphasize student academics, wellbeing, and a healthy school-life balance to create more engaged, motivated, and resilient learners and leaders.
