Michelle Eckmann
Michelle joined The Alexander Dawson School as Chief Financial Officer in 2020. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in accountancy, both from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. She began her career in public accounting with Ernst & Young and then spent 15 years in the CFO Group at Bank of America in Charlotte, San Francisco, and Las Vegas. Most recently, she served as CFO for the Boys & Girls Club of Southern Nevada. An avid world traveler, Michelle has visited 47 countries and counts Argentina, Italy, and the continent of Antarctica among her favorite places. She is excited to bring her global experiences and perspective to the School! In her free time, Michelle enjoys volunteering; she has clocked close to 5,000 hours serving local organizations in the communities in which she has lived.

The Alexander Dawson School
The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain, an independent school located on 33-acres in the community of Summerlin, is Nevada’s first Stanford University Challenge Success partner school for students in early childhood through grade eight. Utilizing the unique Challenge Success framework, Dawson uses research-based strategies and programs that emphasize student academics, wellbeing, and a healthy school-life balance to create more engaged, motivated, and resilient learners and leaders.
