Have you met Ms. Lily Monares yet? Lily is originally from Las Vegas and has worked with children since 2017. She is currently studying early childhood education and volunteers at The Animal Foundation. This is her first year working at Dawson in Early Childhood and also coaches volleyball! Have you met Chef Susan De Lisle yet? Chef Susan is originally from Queens, New York and trained at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park. Most recently, she worked at the Spring Mountain Racetrack and Country Club. Have you met Ms. Rachael Stratmeyer yet? Ms. Stratmeyer is originally from Wisconsin. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her master’s degree from the University of Virginia. In addition to teaching in Massachusetts, Northern Virginia, and the Netherlands, she also previously worked as a reading specialist and learning strategist. Have you met Ms. Kym Newell yet? Kym Newell is from Carson, California, where she got her start in the field of education. She attended El Camino College, UC Berkeley & Nevada State College. Have you met Mr. Jose Suarez yet? Jose is originally from Guadalajara, Mexico, and graduated from the Colegio Nacional de Educacion Profecional Tecnica. Have you met Ms. Mariko Nisce yet? Mariko was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. She graduated cum laude at the University of the Philippines with a bachelor’s degree in family life and child development. She has more than 10 years of experience teaching Early Childhood, and previously created a summer camp program for preschoolers in 2012. Currently, she’s an EC teacher at Dawson! She is originally from Storrs, Connecticut, and has lived and taught in Taiwan, Brazil, Chile, and the U.S. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Haverford College in Latin, her master's degree from the Bread Loaf School of English at Middlebury College, and doctorate in K-12 administration from Boston College. Currently, she is Dawson's Middle School Teaching & Learning Coordinator and teaches advisory, language lab class and global studies classes.
