C-SPAN Bus Visits Dawson's Campus to Honor Students

The C-SPAN bus visited Dawson's campus today to honor Middle School students Kayla Salehian, Autumn Coulthard and Elaina Young for their winning entry in C-SPAN’s StudentCam video competition.  Their video on the US government’s Affordable Care Act was part of a collaborative effort between the eighth-grade social studies and English classes.

Middle School students had the opportunity to board the C-SPAN bus, which is an interactive, multi-media learning center that brings C-SPAN’s coverage of public affairs to communities nationwide and teaches students, teachers and the public how to follow "Washington Your Way." The Bus is equipped with a television studio and multiple monitors where visitors can view and interact with C-SPAN programs and websites.

Congratulations again to Kayla, Autumn and Elaina!

The C-SPAN competition is open nationwide to middle and high school students.  To learn more about the StudentCam competition, visit http://www.studentcam.org/.
